Technician – Maintenance



PRIMARY FUNCTION: Maintain all equipment within the facility to ensure operation at optimal levels.


  1. Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and schematics.
  2. Understanding and demonstrated ability to apply troubleshooting techniques.
  3. Industrial Maintenance Degree Preferred and/or equivalent experience.
  4. Installation, modification and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production requirements.
  5. Troubleshoot using a working knowledge or programmable controllers, electronics and circuit analysis.
  6. Troubleshoot using a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  7. Welding and fabrication as necessary for repairs and / or projects.
  8. Installation and replacement of motors, pumps, bearings and seals.
  9. Capability to utilize and read measuring devices.
  10. Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
  11. Repair and maintain buildings (plant 1, plant 2) and property.


  1. Responsible to ensure that building, equipment and production machinery are maintained in a safe operating condition meeting uptime requirements.
  2. Assist in the installation of new equipment in accordance with established company procedures and plans.
  3. Communicate the use of spare parts and materials in accordance with prescribed procedures to ensure inventory levels are adequate to support production.
  4. Execute preventative maintenance assignments for all assigned equipment.  Keep records of repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
  5. Support mold/tool changes as required.
  6. Practice 5S in and around work areas.
  7. Actively participate in the problem solving of all equipment related downtime issues.
  8. Work as part of a team to ensure on-time quality product to our customers (internal and external).
  9. Incorporate safe working procedures into all daily activities in and around facility.
  10. Understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  11. Comply with company rules, policies, and practices.
  12. Abide by all HSE&E requirements.
  13. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or any other member of management.


  1. Know and follow established job specific and facility wide health and safety procedures and rules
  2. Bring health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management’s attention or correct those they can.
  3. Actively participate in accident, injury and illness prevention activities by:
  4. Identifying and correcting hazards and unsafe conditions.
  5. Developing, or participating, in job safety analysis and safe working procedures.
  6. Conducting, or assisting, in accident, near-miss accident or potential hazard investigations.
  7. Keep other employees aware of health and safety practices and activities by actively observing fellow employee work practices and incorporating safety.
  8. Maintain housekeeping in work area.
  9. Maintain health and safety equipment in good working order.
  10. Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based on training received.
  11. Participate actively in providing suggestions for the health and safety program improvement.
  12. Know and implement regulatory compliance requirements in their work area.
  13. Participates in formal involvement team activities. Supports all departmental and organizational improvement initiatives in order to achieve business objectives.
  14. Participate in TS 16949/ ISO 14001 activities or any other organizational certifications as needed
  15. Must participate in and successfully complete required training
  16. Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Manager


Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, use of hands to inspect parts, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, talking and hearing.  Employee will occasionally lift and/or move product.  Developmental training will be defined by the Department Manager and could be in-house or external to the company.


  1. Able to work any shift with overtime, possibly on short notice
  2. Ability to travel, possibly overnight (<5% of the time), for offsite support or learning and development initiatives.
  3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), organizational, and time management skills
  4. Good interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to participate in and successfully complete required training for this position, as defined by site requirements.
