Summary/Objective (role description):

The role of the stamping specialist is to Provide technical and Administrative support to the Stamping department.

Essential Functions (duties and tasks summary):

Team members must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, the essential functions of the role which may include, but are not limited to the following:

1) Plan, direct and coordinate stamping processes as necessary.

2) Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.

3) Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of

equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

4) May confer with vendor to determine product specification and arrange for purchase of

equipment, materials or parts.

5) Confer with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production

schedules, etc. to facilitate production processes.

6)  Demonstrate a hands-on ability to solve stamping problems.

7) Identify potential stamping quality problems from drawings and/or be able to work with

design for problems that develop in production.

9) Understand the responsibilities on the Assistant Manager and demonstrate the ability to fill

in during times of absence.

10) Succession planning. Must develop one or more Team Leaders to be able to fill the

Specialist position in times of absence

11) Must be flexible and able to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties 

       listed above in order to accomplish TAC goals and objectives


Work Environment (example):

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to conditions of heat in the summer and cold in the winter and will work near moving mechanical parts. Uniform clothing and PPE provisions are provided by the company and are designed to assist with these conditions. Team members are also exposed to noise, which may require the use of hearing protection in certain areas.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work (example):

This is a full-time shift-work position. Overtime is required as needed to meet customer demand and may involve weekend work.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business required, or two (2) or more years of experience in related field, and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
