Toyotomi America Corporation (TAC) in Springfield, KY manufactures metal stampings for the OEM Automotive Industry. Summary/Objective (role description):
The role of the assembly specialist is to coordinate activities of team members to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations while promoting a team environment and improving all methods.
Essential Functions (duties and tasks summary):
Team members must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, the essential functions of the role which may include, but are not limited to the following:
1) Review production schedules to ensure the manufacturing of product(s) is completed and
scheduled delivery dates are met.
2) Plan and review production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for
manufacturing products. Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to
ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.
3) Utilize the appropriate personnel based on skill sets.
4) Evaluate, develop and ensure appropriate training processes are completed when employees
move to different jobs.
5) Ensure quality requirements and procedures for the area are understood and met.
6) Provide assistance to Team Leaders and team members in solving problems/ concerns that
affect their performance.
7)Evaluate the issue and consult Manager and/or Human Resources as needed to determine
the most effective resolution.
8) Develop & coordinate cost reduction activities to achieve yearly targets
9) Monitor and make adjustments to meet expectations for Safety, Quality, Productivity,
Housekeeping, Dept. budget and Hoshin Targets.
10) Ability to communicate openly and respectfully to all level in the Facility.
11) Ability to fill in for Asst. Mgr. in his absence.
12)Ensure TAC policy and procedures are being followed. Ability to correct and follow up on
these issues.
13) Must be flexible and able to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties
listed above in order to accomplish TAC goals and objectives
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Environment (example):
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to conditions of heat in the summer and cold in the winter and will work near moving mechanical parts. Uniform clothing and PPE provisions are provided by the company and are designed to assist with these conditions. Team members are also exposed to noise, which may require the use of hearing protection in certain areas.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work (example):
This is a full-time shift-work position. Overtime is required as needed to meet customer demand and may involve weekend work.

Education and Experience:
Five years of production experience with a minimum of two (2) + years in a supervisory position
