Toyotomi America Corporation (TAC) in Springfield, KY manufactures metal stampings for the OEM Automotive Industry. Summary/Objective (role description):

To perform any aspect of accounting to culminate in monthly and yearly reporting of company performance.

Essential Functions (duties and tasks summary):

Team members must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, the essential functions of the role which may include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Verify and post details of business transactions (such as inventory adjustments, data updates, part information updates, journal entries, funds received and disbursed etc.) Monitor system updates including, but not limited to new part set up, method or part changes.
  2. Establish and maintain daily costing process. Maintain parts standards required during preproduction and mass production timing.   Monitor cycle count process.
  3. Accounts receivable daily invoice processing, collections requirements, manual invoices.
  4. Reconcile A/R report discrepancies, pricing exceptions and problems and coordinate a monthly report out.
  5. Fixed asset activity, project activity, maintenance of FAS system.
  6. Daily processing of Accounts Payable invoices for inventory related purchases, purchases of non-inventory items and any manual payment activity.  Process a three-way match where necessary.  Complete process includes check and EFT payment, mailing of checks and filing paid invoices.
  7. Completing payroll activities on a bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.  Utilizing time card information received from HR, confirming deductions (ex. taxes, garnishments, etc.), processing special payments, confirming banking information and completing the payroll process through direct deposit of individual payments to TM and government for taxes.
  8. Design and execute administrative and financial systems process improvements.
  9. Monthly activities of month end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and monthly reporting.
  10. Annually support budget and audit requirement
  11. Must be flexible and able to work in all areas in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish TAC goals and objectives.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work (example):

This is a full-time administrative position. Overtime is required as needed to meet workload demand and may involve weekend work.

Qualifications:

Skills and abilities based on requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity include:

  • Knowledge of accounting responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Month end closing journal entries
    • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    • Daily handling of one or more of the following:
      1. Accounts Receivable
      2. Accounts Payable
      3. Fixed Assets
      4. Payroll
      5. Cost Accounting
      6. Banking

 

Education and Experience: 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related experience and high school diploma or G.E.D, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Knowledge of applicable accounting rules and regulations (GAAP).
  3. Strong math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers.
  4. Proficient personal computer and system software skills, Advanced Excel, Epicor/CMS (or equivalent – AS400 a plus).        Other software experience as require for specific responsibilities.
